Piccadilly Biscuits Limited in partnership with Hi-Lynks Communications has presented a gift package of assorted confectionery products to the Muslim community of Ghana as Muslims prepare for the fasting month of Ramadan.
The donation, according to the Managing Director of the company, Roy Somers, is a gesture of solidarity to Muslims in Ghana as they gear up for the 30-day fasting period which starts from 13th April, 2021.
Handing over the items to the Office of the National Chief Imam in Accra, the Brand Ambassador for the company, Mikki Osei Berko, urged Muslims to use the important period to pray for peace in the country.
He said Piccadilly will continue to strengthen its partnership with key national stakeholders to support initiatives that promote education and coexistence among citizens.
Receiving the items, the National Chief Imam, Sheik Usman Sharubutu, lauded Piccadilly for the gesture and prayed for the success of the company.
Sheik Sharubutu reminded Muslims of the importance of kindness through charity and the significance of Ramadan, which is one of the five pillars of Islam.
