The People’s National Party (PNP) is now accepting nominations from interested members to fill posts at the national level. It is stated that the forms can be obtained at the party’s Kokomlemle headquarters. A press statement states that individuals who wish to run for president or chairmen should submit their applications for GH¢100,000.
GH¢50,000 must be paid to the forms of interested members who wish to serve as Vice Chairman or Leader. Candidates for general secretary must submit their candidacy paperwork for GH¢30,000. Candidates for National Women’s Organiser and National Youth Organiser will file at GH¢10,000 and GH¢20,000, respectively, while candidates for National Treasurer and National Organiser must file at GH¢20,000.
The deadline for candidates to select and submit their nomination forms is Thursday, August 15. Congress is planned for August 24 and 25, Saturday and Sunday.
