Marhaba Media Limited through the Islamic Council for Development and Humanitarian Service (ICODEHS) has supported 10 widows with a total sum of Eleven Thousand Ghana Cedis (11,000) as part of its Co-operate Social Responsibility to the society.
According to the management of Marhaba Media Limited, the purpose of this kind gesture is to support the widows, so as to be able to take care of their children. Again the money given is supposed to be equally distributed among the widows to add into their already existing businesses.
Meanwhile receiving the cheques the Management of Islamic Council for Development and Humanitarian Service (ICODEHS) stated that, they select the beneficiaries from different communities through their Orphans Aid Department.
“This is an annual activity; we do this every year and this is the 7th year. With the support of Marhaba FM we have been able to support lots of widows and made the lives of lots of orphans better. This is something we hope to continue in the coming years”.
While giving out the cheques ICODEHS urges the beneficiaries to make good use of the money given to them to make their lives better. Beneficiaries also expressed their gratitude as they shower prayers on Marhaba FM and ICODEHS.
