The management of Marhaba FM today September 20th handed over a sum of 100 dollars and 340 Ghana Cedis to the family of Hanif Nii Armah.
This happened after the radio station helped in soliciting for fund in order to operate on the 6-year-old boy who was diagnosed with a hole in the heart disease at the Cardiothoracic Department of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital some months ago.
An amount of 9,000 Dollars was needed for the heart surgery.
Marhaba FM therefore took it as part of her Corporate Social Responsibility, appealed to the public to contribute towards the operation.
A sum of 400 dollars was paid into the account of the hospital before the issue got the attention of a popular Philanthropist and former CEO of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club Herbert Mensah, who later paid the remaining sum.
However, the management of Marhaba FM made it known to the parents of Hanif that an additional amount of 100 dollars and 340 cedis had been deposited to the station after the money for the operation had been completed.
The management in person of Baba Abdullahi Sharif gave the sum to the mother of Hanif Nii Armah as he prays that the boy gets a successful heart surgery.
