28 new entrants make it onto Akufo-Addo’s deputy ministerial list

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s list of nominees for various deputy ministerial positions in his second term saw some new entrants.

28 out of the 39 persons on the list are those going to be in office as first-timers.

The list had been highly anticipated since the vetting of Ken Ofori-Atta, who was the last minister-nominee to appear before Parliament’s Appointments Committee on March 26.

The list was released on Wednesday 21, 2021.

10 women were named as part of the nominees.

Two of the female nominees were moved from their previous ministries to new portfolios while two others also maintained their portfolios from the president’s first term.

  7. Diana Asonaba Dapaah – Office of Attorney General & Ministry of Justice
  8. Alfred Tuah-Yeboah – Food & Agriculture
  9. Yaw Frimpong Addo – Food & Agriculture
  10. Mohammed Hardi Tuferu – Food & Agriculture
  11. John Ntim Fordjuor – Education
  12. Mahama Asei Seini – Health
  13. George Mireku Duker – Lands & Natural Resources
  14. Mavis Nkansah-Boadu – Roads & Highways
