The ex-boyfriend of the Ugandan Olympian, Rebecca Cheptegei, who set her on fire, also died from the burns he received when he attacked her. The ex-boyfriend, Dickson Ndiema poured petrol on her and set her on fire after she returned home from church last week.
According to reports, the athlete and her ex-boyfriend have been arguing over a small piece of land in northwest Kenya, where she lives. Ndiema died on Monday night at the intensive care unit of Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, where he was admitted.
