Kwasi Prempeh, includes eight members such as retired Supreme Court Justice Sophia Adinyira, former Electoral Commission Chair Charlotte Osei, and professor Kwame Karikari. The review aims to assess potential constitutional reforms.

The Constitutional Review Committee also includes Dr. Godwin Djokoto, Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana School of Law; governance expert Ibrahim Tanko Amadu; Dr. Esi Ansah, Executive Director of Ashesi University’s Centre for Leadership; and Dr. Rainer Akumperigeya, Oil and Gas Consultant, who will serve as the committee’s Secretary.

The Constitutional Review Committee aims to address gaps and challenges in the 2010 and 2023 constitutional review efforts. By engaging key stakeholders, the committee will gather feedback on proposed amendments and make recommendations to strengthen democratic governance in Ghana.

The Constitutional Review Committee, tasked with proposing amendments to Ghana’s 1992 Constitution, is set to present its recommendations within five months. The committee’s diverse composition reflects President John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to good governance. Its work is highly anticipated for its potential to drive meaningful constitutional reforms in the country.
