Position Overview: We are seeking talented and creative Content Creators with strong writing and reporting skills to join our dynamic team at Marhaba 99.3 FM. The ideal candidates will have a passion for storytelling, a deep understanding of the Hausa culture, and the ability to create compelling content that resonates with our audience. You will play a key role in shaping the voice of Marhaba 99.3 FM, engaging our listeners through innovative and relevant content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop and produce high-quality content for radio broadcasts, social media, and digital platforms.
- Writing: Craft engaging articles, scripts, and promotional materials that align with Marhaba 99.3 FM’s mission, client and audience interests.
- Reporting: Conduct research, interviews, and field reporting to gather accurate and compelling stories.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to create engaging news, talk shows, sports commentaries, music segments, and special features.
- Community Engagement: Engage with the Hausa-speaking community to gather insights and incorporate their feedback into content creation.
- Social Media Management: Manage and update Marhaba FM’s social media channels, ensuring consistent and interactive engagement with followers.
- Audio Editing: Write scripts, edit audio, and assist in the production of radio programs and promotional materials.
- Idea Generation: Brainstorm and pitch new content ideas that align with Marhaba FM’s mission and audience interests.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze content performance to continuously improve and optimize.
Qualifications:
- Ability to generate creative ideas and think outside the box.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Plus
- Previous experience in writing, reporting, or journalism is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Hausa culture, traditions, and current affairs.
- Social media community manager
